Honors include several Gold and Silver CINDY Awards, the Gold Medal Questar Award, CINE’s Golden Eagle, a special jury prize from International Documentary Festival of Three Continents, Honorable Mention at the Columbus International Film and Video Festival, as well as Top 10% Finalist in the Nicholls Screenwriting Fellowship, and Finalist of the ABC/DGA TV Directing Fellowship. "Just 2 Get By" won Best Script in the 2006 African American Women in Cinema Film Festival.
